Are you a native Languages that are not on the List speaker? Do you study at the University of St.Gallen? Do you enjoy teaching other people your native language and sharing your cultural background? Then becoming a course instructor for one of our conversation courses can be a great opportunity for you! In your role as a conversation course instructor, you will be in constant contact with the Language Services and independently determine the content, pace and focus of your course according to the needs of your participants. Apart from performing your lessons, you will be promoting your course and communicating with your participants.

Application as Conversation Course Instructor:

You are welcome to apply using the form below if you are interested in becoming one of our Conversation Course Instructors in your mother tongue during the upcoming semester.

The further application and engagement process will be the following:

  1. Please create a LFL (Languages for Life) account and fill out the application form.

  2. After the application deadline we select a couple of candidates to invite to a job interview. This most likely takes place on campus and takes around 20 minutes.

  3. We will inform you about whether you will be granted the position or not by the beginning of the semester at the latest. At the same time, we will tell you the date of our kickoff event and invite you to let us know about your timely availability for teaching the Conversation Course. Making the schedule we will take that into consideration to avoid conflicts with your personal agenda.

  4. We will open the course registration in the beginning of the first week of the semester. The more advertisement you do for your course, the more likely your course will start as scheduled in the third week of the semester and last throughout the semester. Your course will only start if there is a minimum of participants registered for it.
