Application as Conversation Course Instructor for Norwegian
General description
Thank you very much for your interest in becoming one of our Conversation Course instructors!

Are you a native speaker? Do you study at the University of St.Gallen? Do you enjoy teaching other people your native language and your cultural background? And most importantly, do you want to earn money by doing what you can do best? Then you're the perfect candidate to become a course instructor for one of our many conversational courses! In your work as a course instructor, you will not only be able to structure the conversation course according to your wishes and preferences, you will also stay in touch with the Language Center and report on course participation and progress.

Application as Conversation Course Instructor:

You are very welcome to apply using the form below if you are interested in becoming one of our Conversation Course Instructors in your mother tongue during the upcoming semester. The further application and engagement process will be the following:
  1. Please fill out the form below by ideally adding a picture of you as well as a text about you and what makes you applying for the position.

  2. We will then collect all applications until the deadline on our website is reached. Based on the information you provide we will select a couple of candidates to invite them to a job interview.

  3. If we invite you to the job interview, you can expect it to be around 30 minutes long. It will most likely take place at the Language Center. We will determine the date and time of the interview together with you.

  4. We will inform you about whether you will be granted the position or not in the week before the beginning of the semester. At the same time we will invite you to let us know about your timely availability for teaching the Conversation Course. We will schedule the course according to your availability to avoid conflicts with your personal agenda.

  5. We will open the course registration for potential participants in the beginning of the first week of the semester. The more advertisement you do for your course, the more likely your course will start as scheduled in the third week of the semester. Your course will only start if there is a minimum of participants registered for it. We will provide you with more information about this at the job interview.

We would like to emphasize, that we cannot invite all candidates who have applied to the job interview. The selection process begins two weeks before the beginning of the semester and will end after the first week of the semester.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions:

We are very much looking forward to your application!
